About the Wrens
The Christopher Wren Singers were founded in 1987 by a group of students at the College of William & Mary with a common passion for choral a cappella music. Through the years, we've stuck to this tradition, and thus our repertoire is a little different than the average a cappella group on campus! Our classical tastes have broadened through the years, as we began with strictly madrigals and Renaissance (or Wren-aissance as we like to call it!). Currently, our repertoire still includes those genres, but we have expanded to everything from Eric Whitacre to Ola Gjeilo to our own take on modern artists like Elton John and the occasional Disney classic.
On campus, Wrens are known for our unique rep, green shirts, and f-wren-ship! We're a close knit bunch of diverse people, tied together by our love of classical music.
"Wrens are my family, and I cannot imagine a world in which I don’t sing with them."
